There is no complete list of the Mayors of Helston before the year 1724. Occasional names have been discovered in various places; those before 1585 have been set out in an earlier chapter; those subsequent to this date are as follows:

The following list of the Mayors of Helston from the year 1724 to the present time has been complied from the manuscript books preserved among the Borough Records. The elections were on the Charter Day in September until the Municipal Corporations Act changed them to 9th November. The dates against the names in the list are those of the years in which the Mayors were elected:
