Contact:

Jean Rustean (01326 565774)

Details:

This is a friendly, hardworking, four-part choir of about 35 members, which gives concerts in January and June each year. Each term consists of 18 weeks of rehearsals.  Fees at present are £35 per term.  We practice on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm in the Catholic Church Hall, which has good parking, or sometimes in the Community Centre.  We are not professionals but a choir of mixed ability who love singing.  There is no audition and new members will be made very welcome - especially tenors and basses.

We are fortunate in having George Shutter as our accompanist and David Burleigh as our Musical Director.  Our choir is small but ambitious.  For our recent performance of Bruckner's Mass No.3 in F minor, we recruited our own orchestra - a critic declared it to be a "formidable enterprise indeed; but accomplished with really inspiring singing and playing which filled the church with glorious sound"!  Our next concert will feature Faure's Requiem and a modern piece by Morten Lauridsen called "Lux Aeterna".

For more information please get in touch.
